To Die For

As you can see I have a LOT of reading ahead of me, which is all very exciting! The next book I'll be reading is "To Die For."  I've heard so much about it from my mom and online, and I gotta tell you, just after reading one chapter I'm already so into it. My favorite Linda books are the murder mysteries so I have high hopes for this one. I'll get back to you on Thursday with a little update on what I've read so far!

Until then, what will you be reading?

Open Season

1 a.m.

That's the time I had to force myself to put this book down. Just to wake up five hours later to finish it. This book is a keeper Ladies!!

I absolutely adore the character study on Daisy Minor, a thirty-four year-old librarian who can't help but follow the rules. Daisy is seeking adventure in her life when events lead her to Chief of Police, Jack Russo's side (who also happens to be a hottie.. who knows it). The powerful bickering between these two is enchanting and completely fueled with passion, keeping you glued to the couch unable to put the book down! Not to spoil anything, but the first kiss, described perfectly by the amazing Linda, weakens your knees. Read the book guys.

Yet another reason to open your devices to Amazon.com and buy this book immediately, is the mysterious crime side of this novel. With enough suspense to make your palms sweat, it surrounds a crime gruesome enough to make your stomach twist and turn. I won't go into too much detail, but you will definitely want to keep your eyes peeled in public after reading this book.

Overall this book was a great example to why I'm dedicating a year of my life to its author. Read the book and comment what you think!

Kicking off the year

Let's kick off this year with a classic!

The Origin

So here I am, preparing for Thanksgiving with my cousin and mother when we started a two hour long discussion on Linda Howard. Boy don't get me started on Linda!! I started reading Linda's books a couple months ago, staying up until 2 a.m. (well aware of the pesky alarm waiting to go off a whopping 4 hours later) completely unable to put the books down. So this discussion on Linda got me thinking about how weird it is that I, a 17 year-old, am reading these books made for older women, but for me Linda isn't just for a more mature audience. Sure, she can be a little dirty, but then again who isn't, right?? Plus! Linda pulls it off in the classiest way. O.K., so back to preparing for Thanksgiving, we were messing around, talking about Linda, giving each other reading lists, when my mom threw out the idea that maybe I should start a blog dedicating a year of my life to Linda Howard! This discussion was roughly an hour ago, is it obvious I'm as smitten as a kitten with this amazing author? So here's to a year with Linda!
